Visiting Scholar / Researcher Program

The Institute for the Study of Islamic Culture and Religion welcomes visiting scholars and researchers to pursue research, traineeship or teaching at Goethe University Frankfurt. Visiting scholars are generally university affiliates who have completed their PhD while visiting researchers are those still enrolled as PhD researchers at a university abroad. The program provides the opportunity of using university research facilities, including library access and office space. However, funding or accommodation is not covered. Due to the large number of applicants, only selected scholars will be invited. Successful scholars are expected to be available at the institute and, depending on the length of their stay, teach a course and/or present their research at the colloquium.
